Week 10 of the NFL season saw the spotlight fall on several of the league’s premier quarterbacks.

Kansas City’s first-year starter Patrick Mahomes continued his eye-popping show by eclipsing Hall of Fame quarterback Len Dawson as the Chiefs’ single-season record holder for touchdown passes. He now has thrown 31  — with six games to go.

Meanwhile Drew Brees — the name rarely mentioned in conversations about the greatest quarterback ever — threw three more touchdowns in the first half alone, moving him past Brett Favre for second place on the career list as the Saints throttled Cincinnati, 51-14.

Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger, ho-hum, tossed another five TDs while Heisman winner Baker Mayfield threw three touchdown passes to continue Cleveland’s resurgence.  The Browns now have won three games.

But not all was lollipops and rainbows for the league’s elite signal-callers. New England icon Tom Brady, the NFL’s three-time MVP, threw no touchdown passes — second time in three weeks — and was yanked during Tennessee’s 34-10 rout of the Patriots.
