TOP TEAMS HEAD INTO

PLAYOFF PARADE;

PA WINNER IN POWER POINTS

As the NFL enters the home stretch, the pundits are out in force trying to divine which teams will compete for their conferences’ championships for the right to advance to the Super Bowl.

The most intriguing matchup could come in the NFC where juggernauts New Orleans and the Los Angeles Rams seem on a collision course.  But are those the Chicago Bears coming up on the outside rail?

In the AFC, Kansas City seems to be the odds-on favorite, but New England, even with more blemishes on its record than usual, still is led by the ageless Tom Brady. And don’t look now but the Houston Texans have won eight straight games.  Looking for a dark horse?  After an abysmal start, the Denver Broncos have knocked off contenders Pittsburgh and the Los Angeles Chargers in the past two weeks.

No need to wait on the winner of the POWER POINTS Football Contest in Week 1. Bill Eckert, of Lebanon, PA, tallied 129 of the possible 136 points to capture grand prize honors.  He entered the contest through The Merchandiser newspaper in Lebanon….
