It’s also time to get on board for SURVIVOR Football Contest for the upcoming holiday bowl games.

Unfortunately for the Green Bay Packers, Halloween came early and stayed late.  Makes you wonder whether the NFL schedule-makers got hold of some bad cheese last spring and took it out on the Packers. And the next holiday could bring even more trouble.

After beginning the season with a classic comeback win against division rival Chicago in which their all-pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers played the second half virtually on one leg, the Pack ran off two more wins against two losses and a tie before turning their attention to Week 8.

A trip to play the unbeaten L.A. Rams in Los Angeles resulted in loss number three.  Back to Green Bay.  Next up:  a trip to the other side of the nation to play another elite team:  New England.  Loss number four. And on the horizon:  a Thanksgiving week game at the hated Vikings.  Gobble gobble!

Thinks went much easier for Jerod Barton, of Jasonville, IN, who posted the only score of 136 among all contestants to take home grand prize honors in Week 9 of the POWER POINTS Football Contest.  He entered the contest through the Sullivan Daily Times newspaper in Sullivan.
